Regarding scent compatibility

Fragrances have a mysterious power. They are not just "nice smells", but rather, as if they reflect the wearer's inner self, the scent and the wearer become one and leave an impression on us. However, not all scents suit a person, and while some scents blend in well with a person, others just don't suit them. Fragrances have compatibility.

First of all, a scent changes the moment it is applied to the skin. This is because the scent is affected by the temperature and properties of the skin, as well as individual skin qualities such as sweat and oil content, and the same scent often leaves a different impression on different people. If there is a scent that spreads softly and naturally on your skin, it is likely a sign that it is compatible with that person. Conversely, if it feels heavy or too strong, it may not suit your skin in some way. Harmonizing the scent with your skin is an important step in choosing a perfume.

Each fragrance has a series of changes in scent called "notes." There is a top note the moment you put on the fragrance, a middle note a little later, and a base note that lingers at the end. Whether or not these changes blend naturally with the personality and atmosphere of the person wearing it is also a factor in determining the compatibility of a fragrance. For example, a soft floral scent may suit someone who gives off a gentle and calm impression, while a citrus or green scent may suit an active and energetic person. When the notes of a fragrance overlap with a person's personality, the fragrance changes from just a "smell" to "that person's scent."

Furthermore, scents are strongly linked to memories and emotions. Just as past memories can be resurrected the moment we wear a scent, scents affect our minds through our senses. For example, sweet scents like vanilla and musk can give us a sense of comfort and relaxation. On the other hand, spicy or woody scents can be the essence that expresses strength and individuality. It is this emotional power of scent that makes scents that suit a person's lifestyle and mood seem to be a good match.

However, the compatibility of scents is not determined by the person alone. Scents also affect the surroundings. For example, a scent that is too strong may cause discomfort to those around you, while a modest and gentle scent may softly resonate with the other person. If you have a special someone or partner, choosing a scent that they find comfortable will bring about an intimacy that connects your hearts through the scent. The resonance that arises from sharing a scent enriches the compatibility of the scent.

Finally, scents also have compatibility with the seasons and time of day. In summer, fresh and light scents make you feel cool, while warm scents bring a sense of comfort in winter. Also, light scents are preferred during the day, while deep scents create a more dramatic effect for special occasions in the evening. Choosing a scent that matches the time and season plays a magical role in changing our mood and creating the atmosphere of the moment.

Fragrances are like an extension of a person's self, a way of conveying their presence to those around them. By choosing a fragrance that suits you, you can bring out your individuality and express yourself through fragrance. The journey to find the fragrance that resonates with you in your daily life is also a time to talk to yourself and to check your compatibility with the fragrance.
