Diffusers are perfect for relaxing and changing your mood by filling your room with a pleasant scent. However, just placing one around may not bring out its full potential. In this article, we will introduce some tips for using diffusers more effectively.
1. Spread the scent by choosing the right location
The way the diffuser spreads the scent will vary greatly depending on where you place it. Basically, placing it in a place with air flow will allow the scent to spread naturally. The recommended places to place it are as follows:
・Near an air conditioner or near a window . Placing it in a place where the air moves will help the scent spread throughout the room. However, avoid placing it in direct sunlight to prevent the essential oils from deteriorating.
- Entrance or hallway
Placing it at the entrance to a room will determine the first impression of the scent and create a good impression on guests.
・Living room or bedroom
Place it in a place where you want to relax and let the scent spread gently. If you place it next to your bed, it is also perfect for relaxing before going to sleep.
2. Control the strength of the fragrance by adjusting the stick
The strength of the diffuser's fragrance can be adjusted by the number of sticks. The more sticks you use, the stronger the fragrance will be, and the fewer sticks you use, the weaker the fragrance will be. Adjust it to your liking.
-When you want a more subtle fragrance , use 2 or 3 sticks for a gentler fragrance.
・When you want a strong fragrance
Add more sticks to set a stronger scent. However, if you feel the scent is too strong, you can adjust it by reducing the number of sticks or inserting the sticks in the opposite direction.
3. Turn the sticks periodically to refresh the scent.
If you feel that the scent has weakened, turn the stick over periodically. Turning the stick over will allow fresh oil to seep out and the scent will become stronger again. As a guideline, turn the stick over once or twice a week, but please adjust according to the season and the environment of the room.
4. Replace essential oils to make the scent last longer
The scent of diffuser oil weakens over time. By changing the oil about once or twice a month, you can always enjoy a fresh scent. It is also recommended to change the oil according to the season or your mood. For example, you can enjoy a variety of scents by using refreshing citrus scents in summer and warm woody or spicy scents in winter.
5. Create a safe environment
To use a diffuser effectively, you need to be careful about safety.
