[1945 Fragrance Diffuser Development Interview]

― This time, a new diffuser is being released as part of the "1945" series. Could you tell us about this development first?
Fragrance Producer Sho Ishizaka (hereinafter Ishizaka): Originally, in the perfume industry, it was not common to develop diffusers with the same scent as perfumes after creating the perfume itself.
SHOLAYERED has been a rare presence that has practiced this approach since its inception, making us pioneers in simultaneously offering the same fragrance as both a perfume and a home fragrance.
Our approach to fragrance is characterized by being "subtly fragrant and addictive" and "transparent yet sensual," and we believe our strength lies in seamlessly connecting perfumes with home fragrances.

― How were the types of fragrances decided?
Ishizaka: We developed diffusers for the three best-selling fragrances in the "1945" series: BLACK, BEIGE, and LIGHT GREEN. We felt it was natural to start with the brand's iconic scents.

― The diffuser bottle design is very unique.
Ishizaka: While incorporating the distinctive form of the 1945 series, we sought a shape that would create a beautiful overall harmony when displayed together. As a result, we arrived at a modern silhouette that evokes flat stones, with a hint of Japanese aesthetic.
Furthermore, a diffuser is not only a tool for spreading fragrance but also a highly artistic product that enhances a space. Therefore, we meticulously crafted details such as the length and thickness of the sticks.

― What about the color variations?
Ishizaka: While we colored the perfume bottles, for the diffusers, the liquid remains in its natural state. The colors are limited to the title names; we did not color the bottles or the liquid itself.
This is to "leave a slight intrigue" as we develop the brand, and we believe it adds depth to the entire lineup.

― Do you have any recommendations for actual use cases?
Ishizaka: Light Green, with its citrus and fruity openness, is great for the living room. Black and Beige, with their sweetness and refined calmness, are suitable for the bedroom.
In particular, as it's said, "to have sweet dreams, use sweet scents," a sweet fragrance is more relaxing for the bedroom than a herbal one. Fragrances can even become like charms.

Ishizaka: Just like with perfumes, it's important to "create your own world with familiar scents" for spatial fragrances.
