Simple questions about perfume

This time, I would like to answer some simple questions about perfume that many people ask.

Q. What is the expiration date for perfume?

A. Some cosmetics have expiration dates that are one year or three years from the date of production.
Most perfumes do not have a legal expiration date because the majority of their ingredients are alcohol, which is a substance that does not easily deteriorate.
Therefore, Saint Nations (the LAYERED FRAGRANCE company) has set its own standards of three years if unopened and one year after opening.

Q: What is the correct way to store it?

A.First of all, store it away from direct sunlight.
This applies not only to perfume but also to clothing; sunlight damages all things and makes them more susceptible to deterioration.

And store it in a cool place.
Be careful as sudden temperature changes can cause the ingredients to crystallize.
It is also a good idea to have a refrigerator for storing perfume.

Q: If the color changes, can I no longer use it?

A. Perfume bottles are colorful, so it may be difficult to notice the change in color of the contents.
Try and judge by scent rather than color.
When perfume deteriorates, it is easy to tell because the fragrance (oil) gives off a distinctive odor that resembles oxidized fragrance.

Q. What should I be careful of when carrying perfume?

A. Most perfume bottles have pumps that cannot be removed, so there is no need to worry about leakage.
However, if you have a screw-type bottle (one that can be opened, such as an atomizer), it may come loose due to vibration, so please tighten it frequently.

Also, most bottles are made of glass and can break.
Please handle any pouch or bag containing perfume with care.

Q. Is there a recommended way to wear fragrance so that people smell nice when they pass by each other?

A. It is very important to be able to smell a nice scent when you are close by, such as when passing someone, because their clothes often smell nice.
A person's lifestyle is condensed into their everyday smell and is imbued with their clothes.
If you want to be popular with everyone, it's a good idea to have a citrus scent wafting from your clothes.
If you think of cleanliness as being related to the scent of soap, it makes you look childish for both men and women, so I don't recommend it.

Q: What should I do with unused perfume?

A. Generally, we recommend using it up and discarding it before the scent changes.
However, sometimes the gift is not to your liking.
In that case, give it to someone who likes the scent so they can use it.

You can also remove the pump part with pliers, insert a stick, and use it as a diffuser.
Be careful as the bottle may break.

As of July 14th, LAYERED FRAGRANCE is running a campaign at its directly managed stores where you can exchange a bottle of perfume for a coupon.
Any brand or condition is acceptable, so please feel free to bring it in.
For more information, please contact the store staff.

I have written about some simple questions that arise when using perfume.
I hope this will be helpful for you to incorporate perfume into your lifestyle.
