Layered Fragrance Identity

Hello, I'm Masaru Ishizaka, a fragrance producer.

 

Today I'd like to give you a brief introduction to the identity of layered fragrances.

 

In fact, Japan's fragrance industry has always been dependent on imports.

 

 

scentnations (The company that runs Layered Fragrances.)

It is no exaggeration to say that until the advent of fragrance, Japan's fragrance industry was an import industry.

 

In this environment, scentnations was established in 2012 with the slogan "Transforming Japan's fragrance industry from an import industry to an export industry" and is Japan's first full-fledged fragrance manufacturer.

 

 

And Layered Fragrance is Scentnations ' first maison fragrance created in Japan.

 

 

So what is a Maison?

 

 

Maison means "house" in French, but in the fashion and cosmetics industries, the phrase has come to be used in a slightly different sense.

 

It's a phrase we've heard somewhere before, but the definition isn't clear.

 

 

I believe that a "Maison" is an attitude that puts philosophy first, an attitude that prioritizes philosophy over capitalism and commercialism.

 

 

 

In other words, it is about expressing one's identity, history and roots.

 

 

A lineup of fragrances based on sensibilities cultivated in Japan.

 

A value system that finds sophistication in simplicity, backed by the Zen worldview.

 

An attitude that strives to eliminate waste not only in design but also in corporate activities, and to avoid placing unnecessary burdens on the environment.

 

Layer the scents to layer your thoughts.

 

And the importance of living beautifully, and the idea of fragrance as a factor in completing beauty.

 

We believe it is important that the expression of this philosophy takes precedence over commercialism, and we have placed great importance on building a team that exudes this mentality.

 

Layered Fragrance is a brand that does not claim to have a specific target market, but instead focuses on building warm connections with customers who share our values and beliefs.
