The morning light filters in through the curtains, and a new day slowly awakens in the still cool air.
On mornings like these, I always spray on a citrus perfume.
The lightness of bergamot, the sharp sparkle of lemon, the sweet warmth of orange.
It's a scent that makes you feel as if a new door is opening before you.
Nothing exudes innocence yet calculated sophistication quite like the scent of citrus.
Its simplicity allows the artisan's handiwork to shine through.
Wear it on a hot summer day to bring a refreshing breeze, or on a cold winter morning to gently soothe chilled skin.
It is truly the "beginning scent" of the world of perfume.
When I was a child, my grandfather's garden was filled with lush citrus trees in the summer.
When you reach out and pick a small tangerine, the aroma of the peel bursts upon your fingertips.
I still can't forget the feeling I had at that moment.
That may be why.
When I wear the scent of citrus, those memories are unconsciously evoked and I feel a sense of lightness in my heart.
When choosing a perfume, citrus always seems to tell me, "It's okay, take it easy."
Whether you're feeling stressed at work or heading out on a long journey, you'll be sure to be fine as long as you have this scent nearby.
For me, the scent that makes me feel that way is citrus.
