WABI-SABI & THE JOY OF IMPERFECT PERFECTION.
Hello, I'm Masaru Ishizaka, a fragrance producer.
Today I would like to write about Wabi-Sabi, a proud Japanese aesthetic.
Wabi-sabi is a combination of the words wabi-sabi and solitude.
Wabi-sabi is more of a dual emotion of sadness.
We Japanese people value finding beauty in this imperfection,
I believe that such fragility is necessary in life.

Hello, I'm Masaru Ishizaka, a fragrance producer.
Today I would like to write about Wabi-Sabi, a proud Japanese aesthetic.
One of the uniquely Japanese aesthetics is "wabi-sabi."
Wabi-sabi is a combination of the words wabi-sabi and solitude.
Wabi-sabi is more of a dual emotion of sadness.
We Japanese people value finding beauty in this imperfection,
I believe that such fragility is necessary in life.
The beauty of cherry blossoms falling is perhaps what best embodies the aesthetics of wabi-sabi.
Finding beauty in the falling cherry blossoms is a value unique to Japan.
Not the beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom, but the fleeting beauty of falling petals.
It is a beauty with a hint of melancholy.
The aesthetic sense of finding the essence of beauty just before and after the climax of full bloom is the very essence of Japan's wabi-sabi mentality, which is scattered throughout Japanese culture and has the spirit of Zen at its root.
Our brand's core values are supported by this mentality.
We strive for simplicity over extravagance, and value pleasant scents over distinctive fragrances.
Budding, blooming, withering, etc., each is a part of the process of beauty, and each has its own unique beauty. I believe that the world will be richer if we find the essence of beauty in the process, not in the climax.
As a brand, we are on a journey that will last forever.
It is a journey where we continue to share the values that we feel comfortable with you, and we want to cherish every step of the journey.
I hope that learning about Japanese aesthetics can help us all find beauty in our daily lives and in ourselves.
